PERSONAL INFORMATION

All types of information is provided to help with understanding spinal cord injury.

Jerry's Accident

This will provide an insight into what happened to Jerry on the day of his accident. How it happened and what took place next. Finally, the words any person would dread to hear: "your son will be paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of his life."

Memorial Service

Jerry was ceremoniously interred in his beloved garden of Faith, Hope and Love on July 7, 2001. His Freedom Celebration is presented from start to finish.

Memories in Pictures

I wanted to offer a little insight into this wild and crazy guy, my youngest son, with a picture montage'...some are serious, others are funny; some are sad, while others show Jerry as a very loving and beautiful son, brother, uncle and friend.

Father's Perspective

Please understand as you read part one (Perspective I), the first three years of the accident; part two (Perspective II), the last half of my son's life after the accident; these thoughts are from the heart, raw emotion, feelings exposed just as I recall at the time.

Jerry's Prayer's The prayers shown are some of Jerry's favorites. Although he was not an especially religious person, he believed in God and took the accident as a suggestion that he needed to rethink his life. He especially liked the prayers contained in this page and recited them often.
Jerry's Thanks Jerry took every step to thank all the many people who were nice enough to visit him in the hospital and home, as well as the family that loved and cared for him. Special THANKS to ALL!
Thoughts & Prayers Many beautiful poems, prayers and thoughts can be found here. Many of these were especially comforting not only during the trauma with Jerry but in all of the tragedy that has befallen this family.
